چکیده

A field trail was conducted at Central Research Farm (CRF), Naini, Prayagraj during Kharif from July to November 2021 in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications. Eight treatments were evaluated against Earias vittella i.e., Flubendiamide @480% SC, Indoxacarb @ 14.5% Spinosad 45% Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% EC, Neem oil 2%, Emamectin benzoate 5% SG, Cypermethrin 25% EC and untreated Control. Results revealed that, among the different lowest per cent infestation of okra shoot fruitborer recorded (8.02%,5.15%). SG (9.26%, 6.75%) found be next best treatment followed by Flubendiamide@480% SC (10.29%, 7.48%), Cypermethrin@25%EC (11.41%,9.24), @14.5% (12.32%,10.00%), (13.13%, 11.53%) whereas 2% (14.25%,12.70) least effective this pest. Among treatments, gave highest marketing yield cost benefit ratio (188 q/ha 1:8.41) (176 1:8.41), 480% (152q/ha and1:7.18), (135q/ha and1:6.22), (121.2q/ha and1:5.74), (114.6 1:5.29) (102.4 1:4.80) as compared control plot (87.2 1:4.2).

Assessment of genetic relatedness among okra genotypes [abelmoschus esculentus (l.) Moench] using rapd markers

DNA based RAPD (Randomly Amplification of Polymorphic DNA) markers have been used extensively to study genetic relationships in number of crop plants. In this study, 44 okra genotypes collected from different parts of India, were selected to assess genetic distinctiveness and relatedness. Total genomic DNA was extracted and subjected to RAPD analysis using 14 arbitrary 10 mer primers. The molec...
